The Pope has his Very Own Secret Cologne

Photo: guardian.co.uk
This morning we learned that the pope has become the proud owner of a private—and proprietary—signature scent. Containing “hints of lime tree, verbena and grass,” the pope’s cologne was concocted by Italian perfume maker Silvana Casoli. Now, this Pope is no stranger to high style (the Wall Street Journal has reported on his Prada loafers in the past) and Casoli is no stranger to high-profile clients—she has created scents for Madonna and King Juan Carlos of Spain. The unfortunate news: The pope’s cologne is not for sale. You’ll never get to smell like Benedict. And even the list of ingredients is a secret between the pontiff and his perfumer. ”I would not ever repeat the same perfume for another customer,” Casoli told The Guardian. Shucks. But! We may have found something even better…
